LGBT+ Ensemble in English is a safe and positive space for musical exploration, open to everyone under the queer umbrella.
In this group, you’ll have the opportunity to try out different instruments and musical styles, based on the participants’ own wishes. We’ll start off with a few songs in the pop/rock genre to warm up and get to know each other. After that, the group will have plenty of influence over the repertoire and musical direction, with guidance from the instructor. There will also be space to bring in your own lyrics and original compositions.
As the name suggests, the group is specifically aimed at LGBT+ individuals. If you identify as such and are looking for someone to play music with, this is the perfect group for you.
There’s no requirement to read sheet music, know music theory, or have played at a certain level before. However, it is expected that you have an interest in music and a willingness to jump in and participate.
